About Me

Melissa is the founder and instructor behind Honey Bee Sewing School. A lifelong sewist, Melissa has been teaching students of all ages from her home studio since 2015. Her extensive background includes working as a professional PDF pattern designer and specializing in the technical, creative world of dance costumes and apparel construction.

Melissa holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and balances her creative endeavors with a professional career in the accounting field. Originally a native of Tucson, Arizona, she relocated to Utah in 2002. She is a proud mom to three children and one beloved golden retriever.

Honey Bee Sewing School is a fully licensed business with Layton City and the State of Utah.
