Tuition for classes is $65.00 per month ($120 for siblings) due on the first class of the month. If tuition is paid after the 15th a $10 late fee will be charged. Most months have 4 classes, some have 5 and some have fewer because of holidays and school holidays. Regardless of the number of classes in the month, the tuition is $65.00 per month ($120 for siblings). Tuition is not prorated for missed classes and there are no tuition refunds. These policies apply if a student is sick, or out of town, or forgot, or has homework to do, or any other reason. If a student must miss a class, please notify me by text/email. Class Cancellations: If I must cancel due to weather events or illness, make-up days will be offered.
I offer a 10% discount if tuition is paid by the semester. Discount only offered if paid by cash/check or Vemno.
If a student no longer wants to attend, please notify me 1 month in advance.
There are no make-up days but I will have Sewing Saturdays during the year. This is an open sewing time where the students can come on a Saturday and either make-up a missed class or just get some extra sewing time in. I typically have Sewing Saturday monthly but it is not guaranteed.
New Student Supply fee is $45 and $40+sales tax for KCS book which includes one Kids Can Sew® Packet/Pattern book (last aprrox. 9-12 months). Continuing Student Supply fee is $45
Additional Kids Can Sew® Packets can be purchased for an additional cost $40+ sales tax full packet, $15 + sales tax for single packets, Hybrid Patterns $8+tax .
The Parent/Guardian will be responsible for providing the supplies needed such a fabric, and notions, etc. I suggest that you allow your child to pick out the fabric. I will provide basic thread colors, elastic, sewing needles, bobbins, pins, scissors and supplies for various holiday projects during the year.
Safety will be taught from day one, but sometimes accidents still happen. Students will be working with pins, needles, scissors and occasionally a hot iron (they only use the iron if I'm standing right next to them). I have a first aid kit handy and will apply cold water to minor burns.
Please make sure they have their patterns and instruction book for each class.
Please be prompt picking up your student. If you're running more than 5 minutes late or will miss class, call or text me.
